Those who preached that we should not waste our time doing ‘Nothing’ probably never knew the joy of it. I say, let there be a day when you do nothing, just lie down and relax. Do anything that you can do to pamper yourself. For all I know, life is too short to wait for someone to pamper you. Do it yourself. The best thing is, it’s pocket-friendly I won’t ask you to go to a luxurious spa or book yourself a ticket to Hawaii to pamper yourself. Instead, my list comprises things you can do at minimal expenses.
10 ways to pamper yourself this fall season
1. Pamper yourself with beverages
Days become better when you can relish home-made mocktails and smoothies.
Ice tea and mango smoothies are my personal favorites.
But if you’re a fan of shakes or any other drink, go for them. You can easily prepare them at home.
2. Reading
Tell me a better plan than reading and being a couch potato simultaneously.
I have an entire list of my favorites listed HERE, if you like thrillers, you’ll love my list!
3. Pamper your feet
Your feet are the most utilized but least cared for part of the body.
Here’s what I do, besides getting a pedi once a month, I love to take hot baths & soak my feet! You could also ask your significant other to rub them, I mean why not?!? 😉
4. Watch TV series and movies
With the pandemic stricken world, going out for a movie might seem a terrible idea.
But you can still make your home a theatre.
Dim the lights, grab a bucket of popcorn, sit back, and enjoy! Carl and I love picking a new Netflix or Hulu show to watch. We are currently watching “Money Heist” together. We’re on season 2 and we love it.
5. Indulge in some skin-care
We are well aware that our face is the most exposed to pollution, yet seldom do we do something about it.
It’s time to follow a CTM (Cleansing, toning, moisturizing) routine to repair all that skin damage. Having a morning and nighttime skincare routine will not only help your skin but it will give you 5-10 mins to yourself, which we all need and deserve.
6. Going for walks
The benefits of walking are unhidden. A 30-minute walk is the best way to relax and stay fit. We try to do a family walk once a day with Xavier around the neighborhood, it’s nice to spend that amount of time together plus being outside just makes you feel better!
7. Painting
Painting has been an integral and most memorable part of our childhood but somewhere while growing up, it faded away.
But it’s never too late to relive some moments again. Isn’t it?
Painting is therapeutic, I insist you do it even if you’re terrible at it.
8. Gift yourself flowers
Flowers are gifts of nature for you to admire.
If no one has given you a bouquet today, make one for yourself.
Go for a nature walk to collect flowers from the ground. (Don’t pluck them) instead of just buying them at the florist.
9. Bubble baths
Bubble baths and hot showers have always been a winner in my list. You can also play some soothing tracks to make it more relaxing. Also I love lighting some candles and bringing my book in the bath with me! Take my 30 mins to relax my mind and body.
10. Get drenched in the rain
Gone are the days when we used to drench and dance in the rain.
You wish to do it again, but now, you hold yourself back thinking you’re too old for it. Here’s the truth, you’re never too old to do things that make you happy. Sometimes, we all need to dance in the rain!
Any day is a good day to pamper yourself. Sometimes it’s all you need to feel better.
